A trip to the Zoo!

We have been trying to get to the zoo for weeks it seems like! Ryan doesn't have a set schedule at work so its hard to plan to far in advance. We had a day set for (2?) weeks ago and then the whole bathroom fiasco happened. So I decided we would wait until that was done to go spend the day at the zoo, and that day FINALLY came this last Saturday. Joshua has never been to the zoo before, and he LOVES animals so he had a lot of fun. 

Joshua is not the kind of kid that gets hyper and energetic when he loves something. He's more of the "I'll just stand over here and watch with a very intrigued look on my face and be totally silent" type. So he enjoyed it in his own way, quiet and observant. 

We got to the zoo at about 10:15, 15 minutes after it opened. A lot of the animals were still sleeping so we didn't see a ton. But the ones we did see were worth the drive :) Here's a little recap of our trip in pictures:
